Psssst … Save The Date, Limited Tickets Available For The Greyton Brew Run

With a coffee brew at the start and a barley brew at the end, the Greyton Brew run is worth it just for the perks

Save the date because the Greyton Brew Run has opened online entries. The event takes place on 24 August 2019 at the Old Potter’s Inn and Brew house in Greyton. Space is limited, so the organisers are cutting down on entries for the 12km and 20km, get your entry in fast.

THE ROUTES
There are three running routes to choose from: a 6km, 12km and a 20km. Both long runs follow a similar route, taking on the same climb starting on a newly created single track, before heading up Hardepeer Kloof.

Where the 12km finishes, the 20km continues into another scenic climb up Maermanskloof, before a fast descent to the finish takes you to your reward. The 6km route is flat, fast and mostly on jeep and singletrack.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
If you’re more interested in taking in the scenery than testing your fitness, then the popular Greyton hiking trail is what you’re looking for. The hike is hosted by the Greyton Hiking Club and takes you in and out of the reserve on a scenic meander.

THE REWARDS
To jumpstart your run, and as a courteous thank you for entering, the organisers are offering coffee at the start for every entrant. If, and only if, you make it to the finish, you get to chill on the lawn opposite the start venue with a complimentary ice-cold pint of Greyton’s own craft brew.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL SEE IF YOU ENTER THE BREW RUN

ON VENUE CHILDCARE … FOR FREE!
The organiser will be turning part of the field into a play area for kids to have fun while you run. They will also have teachers and childminders on hand to ensure they play nicely and stay safe. You need to notify the organisers about your child’s attendance beforehand, so they can make the right provisions in terms of minders.

ENTRY INFO
It’s R280 for the 20km, R230 for the 12km and R125 for the 6km. The guided hike is R175 and kids pay half-price on everything. Get your tickets now by booking here.
