There are four African-themed lofts, each uniquely decorated and all with an ensuite bathroom (with twin showers) and living-room. The balcony is a good place for morning coffee surrounded by trees and birds. Breakfast is served on the tasting-room deck and there’s a communal pool for those toasty Stellenbosch summer days.
The manor house is a South African farmhouse with five bedrooms, including a family apartment. It has a swimming pool, game room, chapel and two terraces, and is a five-minute walk from the cellar and tasting room. There’s also the L’Ermitage villa in the middle of the vines, which has seven bedrooms as well as a swimming pool and braai area.

The estate has a stylish and spacious tasting room that’s flooded with sunlight. Sit at either the bar, the large table, on the couches or out on the deck. There are various experiences, including a Wine and Biltong Pairing in which three red wines are paired with beef, kudu and springbok biltong, or the Madiba Pairing that explores the estate’s flagship Floréal wines. There are also cellar tours available year-round, and they’re great fun when harvest time is on during the summer.
And if you need something a bit more filling after your wine-pairing session, the farm’s restaurant, Floréal Brasserie, is just a short stroll away at Marianne Wine Estate.
