Everything about the service at Bar Keeper (which is open every day of the week, including Sundays till 6pm) is seamless. It’s easy to do a quick in-and-out for picnic essentials, or drive-through for a specialty dinner party bottle (cold) en-route, because the displays at this elegantly designed liquor store are impeccably organised and categorised.

STOCK UP ON LAST-MINUTE DRINKS 

Another nice touch: There’s a large, secure, parking bay (free for the first 15 minutes) directly opposite the entrance, next to popular Marco’s African Place. It’s great for last-minute Saturday night party supplies (when Bar keeper is open until 7pm). 

Even better, shop online and have your booze come within the hour, no matter the size of order or scale of your shindig. You’ll get anything from one quality bottle of wine to, say, 20 cases of booze. Unlike UberEats, Bar Keeper has a van, too, for deliveries, and is cheaper.

ORDER ONLINE AND GET IT IN TIME  

Whether you’re buying that rare special bottle or a few cases of Smirnoff for your kids 21st or Black Labels for a braai, Bar Keeper will deliver to your door, cold within an hour (if you are within a 6km radius). Their website is user-friendly and cheaper-than-UberEats (R40 delivery fee for customers in CBD and surrounds).

Browse the online store, checkout, and pay. Once your order is ready for delivery, you're contacted via SMS. You can track the driver via SMS, who delivers in the branded Bar Keeper van or scooter.

Deliveries to the northern and southern suburbs of Cape Town arrive between 1 to 2 working days with R70 delivery fee. Bar Keeper also delivers throughout South Africa. National deliveries take up to 5 working days at R130 delivery fee.
