Here’s what you can expect at Wolfie Familie Festival 2025:
BELOVED FAMILY FESTIVAL
Wolfie Familie Festival has developed a reputation as one of the best family festivals of the summer. It’s because the weekend is jam-packed with activities at almost every hour from 7.30am until 11pm.
There’s pop-up theaters, an animal garden (with sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises to pet), kids crafts, star gazing shows, and even a Stars of the Future Garden where kids can sell products they’ve made.
And there’s endless ways to keep active. Try yoga, canoeing, swimming or the “mini 2 camp” (a 2km trail and 100m swim dash).

FRIDAY: FESTIVITIES START WITH THE FUN PARK
What’s great about Wolfie is the flexibility of the weekend. You can join as many activities as you’d like, or just lay back and relax by the river.
The schedule kicks off on Friday when the fun park and animal garden runs from 9am to 5pm. There’s Bongi Bird by the Jungle Theatre at 6.30pm, a psychedelic show at 8pm, and the day ends with a kiddies movie at 9pm.
Lights out is at 11pm each night and no sound systems are allowed in the camp sites.
Tickets include your accommodation, entry to the four-day festival and all shows and activities part of it. Image: Wolfie Familie Festival
SATURDAY: JUGGLING, MAGIC AND MORE
Saturday starts at 7:30am with a secret sunrise dance, followed by family yoga (8.30am), Dassie’s Tale theatre show (10.30am), hoola dancing (2pm), a magic show (4pm), The Mushroom Garden psychedelic show (8pm) and finishes with 9pm movie time.
Everybody loves the kiddies entrepreneurial market at 3pm and the talent show at 5pm. The wellness spa, animal garden and fun park is also open all day.

3 CAMPING ZONES (TENTS OR VILLAS)
There are three accommodation zones: Golden Valley, Lost Valley and Berry Fields. Each has different camping options, from bring-your-own-tent (and everything else) to glamping Birds Nests. These are shaded tents with beds, bedding, mattresses and lights.
There’s also villas which include a kitchenette, fridge, shower and en-suite bathroom, braai pit, lounge area and hot tub (heads up, these sell fast).
Tickets are for four days to allow families to leave later and enjoy time in the Olifants River. If you’d like to do so, let the Wolfie team know in advance.
Festival and camping tickets start at R250 per child (0 - 3 years) and R1 010 per adult. Get details, prices and book your tickets on the Wolfie website.

FOOD AND DRINKS SORTED
There’ll be food trucks and a bar service selling all kinds of drinks, coffee and smoothies all weekend. We suggest you bring along your cooler box and water bottles (no glass allowed). Ice and drinking water will be sold at the bar.
Don’t forget to pack your own snacks for your little ones. Image: Wolfie Familie Festival
WHAT ELSE TO BRING
Prep as if you are going on a normal camping weekend away (and remember head torches for the evening walk abouts).
It’s also a good idea to pack life jackets or inflatable armbands, and bring along your swimming goggles, running shoes and yoga mats. The Olifants River runs along the camp, so don’t forget to pack lilos.

GET IMMERSED OR WORK REMOTELY
Parents can catch up on work, if need be, thanks to the available wifi and work space in the bar area.
However, the aim is to immerse yourself in the full experience: Get messy, dance and sing along, and even get wet.
Whatever you do, it’s a time to reconnect with your child, your partner, other parents, grandparents… this has become a truly multi-generational affair.
