HintHunt’s escape rooms are conveniently located in the V&A’s Watershed and close at 7pm on weekdays. That means it's a convenient spot to meet for a team building activity in the week (especially if you work in the CBD) and have dinner or drinks before the weekend. And it’s great for a date night or a friends’ catch up for that matter.

AVENGERS OR PRISON BREAK?nbsp;

What so many people love about HintHunt’s rooms is that they’re super immersive and feel just like movie sets. In Marble, you’re recruited by a superhero agency to infiltrate Roach’s lair and stop a secret serum from being released. It feels just like a scene from Avengers, with Marvel easter eggs like “I Love You 3000” and a dog named Loki.

And Escape Plan is based on the hit show Prison Break. You and your cellmates are the new prisoners, and you must decipher the codes left by previous inmates Michael and Lincoln.

There’s nothing but a bed, a locked cupboard and something about an Italian on the wall...or so you might think. You’ll have to rummage through dirty socks, play with codes and locks as you race against the clock.

There’s other movie-esque rooms like Torpedo (you’ll feel like Tom Hanks in Greyhound) and Shipwrecked (practise your best Jack Sparrow impression).

HOW DOES AN ESCAPE ROOM WORK?  

Teams of between two to six people are locked in and challenged to solve clues and puzzles before time runs out. Every game room has a gamemaster, who oversees your game and helps where needed. 

Each has its own level of difficulty. Some are particularly challenging (you get 75 minutes for Marble and it’s suggested that you play with four people minimum), while others are suitable for anyone, even kids.

OR TRY THE AMAZING RACE GAMES
