Ysterplaat Airshow 2010
Africa's largest aerospace, defence, and security exhibition is once again happening in 2010
Looking for the 2013 air show? Check out the Wings and Wheels Air Show at Cape Town's Ysterplaat.
The 2010 Cape Town Airshow is officially called the Africa Aerospace & Defence Ysterplaat Airshow and takes place every two years in September
The Africa Aerospace & Defence – AAD 2010– will be held in Cape Town from 21 -25 September 2010. All of the major suppliers of civil and military aerospace, defence, and security equipment to the South African government will be represented in Cape Town by top ranking executives.
The Ysterplaat Airshow’s an innovative and expanded showcase for local, regional and global exhibitors who supply civil, military and security products, systems, components and services to customers in Africa and around the world.
A comprehensive flying programme, with slots for demonstration flights, enables aerospace companies to demonstrate their products to potential clients. A dynamic vehicle track allows for the demonstration of land-based products, while the close proximity of the Cape Town harbour and the V&A Waterfront offer berthing of ships and other maritime exhibits.
The first three days are dedicated trade days for professionals and media, with 24 and 25 September open to the public. Flying displays during these two days are once again envisaged, although the exact aircraft types will only be confirmed at a later date.
