After arresting a slump that saw them teetering just about the relegation zone, Cape Town City will be quite comfortable about their chances of chipping away the title hopes of defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The match is happening live at the Cape Town Stadium on 1 March with kick-off at 3pm.
THE FORM BOOK
Cape Town City has had a small resurgence in form after suffering a 3-0 away defeat to Kaizer Chiefs (currently top of the log). After that, they beat Bidvest Wits (2-0) and Black Leopards (1-0), and drew their third game against Maritzburg United (1-1).
Sundowns have huge fixture congestion with commitments in the CAF Champions League and Nedbank Cup. They play four games in the same period that Cape Town City play one, which includes a trip to Egypt in the Champions League. In terms of the PSL, in their last two fixtures, they suffered defeat to Orlando Pirates but redeemed themselves with a win over Pretoria rivals Supersport United.
