Discover everything you need to know about gut health and the benefits of adding fermented food and drinks to your diet. Kombucha is a fermented drink brimming with beneficial enzymes and probiotics that improve your digestion and overall health.

This interactive workshop focuses on crafting this beverage and opens up a world of infusing your brew with spices, flowers, fruits and teas. The workshop is ideal for new brewers or anyone who wishes to enhance their existing homebrew according to health benefits and flavour.

You’ll also learn more about the local brand, Krafty Kombucha. This company produces enticing flavour variants that each correlate to certain body parts physically, physiologically, emotionally and spiritually. For example, Litchi Rose with Sceletium and Passion Flower aligns with the Heart Chakra; the centre of love, compassion, harmony and peace.

Each participant will receive their own SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast), starter liquid and brewing instructions to take home, along with follow-up support to ensure your brewing success.
The workshop takes place at 252 Albert Road, The Woodstock Brewery between 9 and 10am on Saturday 13 October, and costs R350 per person. To book email: info@thekindkitchen.co.za.
