Indulge In Dinner and Dessert At Coco Safar in Sea Point
And now they have added couture alcoholic cocktails to the menu at this all-day cafe
From breakfast to their new dinner offering, Coco Safar is the number one spot for all-day delicious entertainment-driven food and beverage experiences.
GET STARTED
Starters on the menu feature delicious seafood dishes such as ceviche on a bed of avocado with fennel and micro coriander salad, or West Coast mussels in a light butter and chive sauce. They've also got a fresh summer salad consisting of apple, grilled and compressed cucumber, pickled radish, beetroot, tomato, mixed leaves and vinegar pearls.
OSTRICH LASAGNE TO ROYAL RADISH
Main meals focus on meat with dishes such as slow-cooked smoked brisket with barbeque sauce paired with triple-cooked fries. Game is also featured with an ostrich lasagne – think thin layers of homemade pasta, bechamel and mushroom soil. Veg is not forgotten with the Radish Royale, a beautifully presented white daikon radish with a filling of mushroom, onion, breadcrumbs, herbs and coconut sauce.
DECADENT DESSERTS
Dinner isn't done without dessert and pure decadence is on offer. There's the Parisian-inspired Wicked Affogato, which lives up to its name with Saint-Tropez coffee drizzled over a brownie sponge with hazelnut, chocolate ganache, pink pepper and cardamom cream and macadamia nut ice-cream. The second option is local lekkergoed – their Kaapstad rooibos blend poured over rooibos mousse on a gluten-free sponge, with crystallised orange and orange jam ice-cream. Because who needs a diet?
NO ORDINARY COCKTAILS
Choose between 0% alcohol concoctions, from the Green Mojito (featuring green rooibos tea) to the Apple Martini. Otherwise, the Tipping Point (rum, cointreau, red rooibos) or the Napoli Negroni (bitter-sweet breeze ocean gin, campari, vermouth) will put a smile on your face. The cocktail menu is the creation of the “Master of Pleasure” Marshall Siavash, who hails from institutions such as Outrage and Modesty, Cause and Effect and House of Machines.
The sophisticated all-day cafe is transformed into a cosy cinematic cocoon that just adds to the intrigue and allure of what awaits behind the entrance curtains. With the Belle Epoque interior, curated music and romantic nostalgic ambience, this is not simply a meal, but an entire experience, a journey of culinary delights that is certainly beyond ordinary.
