Visit the lovely town of Riebeek Kasteel this summer and view a collection of portraits, floral paintings and ceramics by esteemed South African artists at the Summertide Art Exhibition. The exhibition opens at The Gallery on Sunday, 4 December 2016 and will run until the end of February 2017.
Over a dozen South African artists will be showcasing some of their finest paintings and sculptures this summer at the Summertide Art Exhibition, a yearly initiative that gives local artists an opportunity to display their work in their own country. Author, columnist and Riebeek Kasteel resident Max du Preez will be opening the fourth annual Summertide exhibition at The Gallery, which is the only art gallery in the small town.
This year’s exhibition will feature sculptures of the human figure by ceramic artist Ann Marais, urban landscapes by Jenny Parsons and an assortment of floral paintings by Mia Chaplin, Pippa Lea Pennington and Wyn Rossouw.
