Things to do on Heritage Day

Solve a murder, enjoy a scenic braai and complete a trail run in stunning vineyards

24 September is Heritage Day in South Africa, a public holiday dedicated to celebrating the rich cultural history of our country. And there’s a lot to celebrate, with an idyllic vineyard trail run, a scenic "bring and braai" picnic and even a murder mystery dinner. Here are 6 ways to enjoy the Heritage Day long weekend.

We’re turning Heritage Month into a movement, and we want you to join us. The inaugural This is your Heritage Campaign features 10 days of stories about food, heritage, history, local humour and  destinations around the corner. Plus, we’re giving away six getaways, two diamond rings, a gift box with an iPad Pro, and Table Mountain Cable Cards. Join the #HeritageChallenge now.
