The second Scarecrow Darling Festival is taking place at the end of October and a weekend packed to the brim with activities, food, music, stalls and more is coming along with it from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 October 2018.
Pack the car and head out to Darling for a wholesome weekend where you can expect a farmers market, the Darling Food Experience, Scarecrow Charity Auction and Party and the Scarecrow Route.
FRIDAY NIGHT FESTIVITIES
The Darling Food Experience will kick things off on Friday night. Book a table at your favourite spot, or take a stroll through the streets and grab something tasty from the pop-up street vendors.
A LOCAL AFFAIR
Rolling into Saturday, the farmers market will be open where you can take it easy and shop around for the freshest local produce. A relaxed Saturday is ideal as nightfall brings on the Scarecrow Charity Auction and Party where you’ll be able to bid on your favourite scarecrow on auction and dance the night away.
SUNDAY FUNDAY
Sweat Saturday night’s indulgence out on Sunday morning by participating in the Groote Post Country Run, and fill up on something healthy (or decadent) at the Groote Post Country Market afterwards for brunch.
SPOT THE SCARECROW
Throughout the entire weekend, you’ll be challenged to take part in the Scarecrow Route. Find the scarecrows randomly placed around the villages, keep track of them on your scorecard and stand the chance of winning a prize. Entry tickets and a route map will be sold at various outlets around the village and all money received will be donated to Darling charities.
