Step right up, the circus is back in town – and this time, you’ll need to buckle up! For two weekends only from 27 May, catch the dynamic circus show VOOMA!, featuring young Zip Zap Circus School performers. 

Relive a childhood memory, bring the family or a special date, and let the performers take you on a wild ride of excitement and wonder.

BE INSPIRED BY YOUNG TALENT

For more than three decades, Zip Zap has used the circus for social and professional upliftment, by nurturing new talent and giving youngsters the opportunity to dream. With aspiring young performers from Kenilworth to Khayelitsha, Nyanga to Newlands, Phillipi to Pinelands, Makhaza to Mitchell's Plain, the show supports young talent from all walks of life.

VOOMA! cast members are participants in Zip Zap’s Zappers and Dare2Dream programmes, giving these up-and-coming local stars a stage to shine on. They’ll be performing with their “older brothers and sisters” who have just returned from France after a three-month tour with Zip Zap’s professional philharmonic production, Rhapsody.

TAKE THE WHOLE FAMILY TO THE CIRCUS

Watching a circus show is an experience that leaves a lasting impression. “Not only will you be amazed by this extraordinary display of circus; you will also be roaring with laughter. VOOMA! is what VOOMA! does!” says Brent van Rensburg, co-founder and artistic director at Zip Zap.

The show combines acrobatics, juggling, mind-blowing stunts and dazzling sing-along performances that are entertaining for adults and kids alike.

SNACK ON TREATS + GRAB A SOUVENIR 

There’s nothing quite like sharing a memorable experience that can bring a connection between two people. Bring your special someone to the show (it’s not just for kids), relax and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of the Zip Zap Dome. 

Plus, food and drinks at the circus are sorted, too. Behind the auditorium-style seating there are a range of food stalls selling everything from chips and chocolates to boerie rolls and drinks, plus there’s wine and beer. (You won’t be able to take your own food or drinks to the show.)

If you want a memento from your magical experience, take a piece of Zip Zap home with you. There's a merchandise stall behind the seating area where you’ll find T-shirts, hoodies and even juggling balls and kids’ books.
