This geek paradise will bring all platforms, gear and gadgets under one roof in a showcase of the latest and greatest gizmos and games. Whether you prefer tabletop fantasy games or online local area networking, or even if you just want to hang out dressed as your favourite character, EGE will have something for everyone.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2017 ELECTRONICS AND GAMING EXPO IN CAPE TOWN
GAMING GALORE: From PC to consoles and virtual reality; attendees can be sure that every kind of gamer will be accommodated for at this year’s event. Those eager to showcase their skills can participate in the competitive gaming tournaments, set up around the venue, and compete against fellow enthusiasts. Test out the latest gaming stations and gadgets to get a taste of what’s in store for the future.
DRESS UP, IT’S COSPLAY: For those not in the know, ‘cosplay’ refers to costume play associated with performance; fans dress up as their favourite character from different sources (here’s to you manga and anime fans). The EGE plans to host a cosplay competition where cosplayers can go all-out to claim the coveted title.
TAKE HOME A SOUVENIR: There will be all sorts of memorabilia at the expo for you to purchase. From action figures and collectibles to comic books and artworks; you can get your hands on some unique mementos of this epic event.
