If there’s one thing that’s certain about America, it’s that everything is bigger (and sometimes better). To show just how big things can get, The Foreign Exchange bar in Observatory is hosting the mother of all Fourth of July (that’s USA’s independence day) parties on Tuesday, 4 July 2017.
Forex, the United Nations of partying as it is known to its regulars, is a hotspot for international revellers and fun-loving locals. This hangout is also renowned for going all out for major national holidays, like Bastille Day (for the French), Kings Day (for the Dutch) and, of course, the Fourth of July (for Americans).
This year’s red-white-and-blue fiesta promises to be as good as any get-down on US soil – they’ll have themed dinner specials, drink specials and even a themed quiz to remind you that you’re rubbish at quizzes. You’ll be able to chow down on American classics like buffalo wings and curly fries for R50, and a New York hot dog for R40! Oh, and did we mention free shots? Yes, you read that right; free shots! The music on the night will be provided by DJ Roastin Records and their artists will be on stage from 10pm to 12am.
Though you don’t have to be from any one of the 50 states to attend, you do have to come dressed in the national colours. Oh, and it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on your beer pong and flip cup skills either since it wouldn’t be a real American shindig without the ubiquitous red cups and drinking games. If last year’s Fourth of July party at Forex is anything to go by, folks can expect a jam of epic proportions and a night never to be forgotten. So, put on your best Texan accent and get ready for a root-tootin’ America-rific good time.
TICKETS FOR THE 2017 FOURTH OF JULY PARTY AT THE FOREIGN EXCHANGE BAR
As far as we know, there is no price for attending this celebration of all things ‘Murica! If you want to give The Forex Bar a quick call, you can do so on +27 (0)21 448 0083.
For our American friends living or visiting Cape Town, we even feature Independence Day events on 4th of July!
