Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and the Darling children will be transporting theatregoers into the amazing wonders of Neverland between Saturday, 1 July and Sunday, 23 July 2017 at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre Theatre.
The showstopping and star-studded cast will be presenting a musical version of the well-loved children’s story, Peter Pan, for the young and young at heart to enjoy these school holidays. The show promises to come complete with all of the mystical and magical characters Peter Pan lovers know and adore. From the mysterious mermaids of Mermaid Lagoon and the ever-so evil Captain Hook to the courageous and stunning Indian Princess Tiger Lily and the comedic Lost Boys, you won’t go a moment without enchantment.

The musical is an original by the award-winning duo, Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer, who have throughout their career had regular appearances on stages across South Africa, Europe and America. The spectacular acting will no doubt be coupled with jaw-dropping sets, detailed costumes and a gathering of awesome puppets to treat all of your senses to a thrilling theatrical experience.
In the true style of theatre-with-a-cause and in the original spirit of giving associated with Peter Pan, the proceeds for the show will be donated to the LEAP Science and Maths Schools initiative in addition to R250 000 that is to be donated by the Hyprop Foundation. In the celebration of Mandela’s legacy, extra support for this worthy cause will also be generated through the building of a massive mosaic made out of tins of food. Members of the public are encouraged to help transform the Food Court in Canal Walk Shopping Centre by donating a tin (or numerous tins of food) to help build the mosaic artwork on Tuesday, 18 July 2017. You are also welcome to donate a can or more prior to the building date at the Toys R Us store in Canal Walk.
