Ride Monster wheels in the Winelands for your next team building

Scootours' Flow Trail is an adrenaline rush with berms, rollers, and a bush tunnel

Last updated: 27 June 2022

Shared experiences strengthen relationships between team members, and Scootours is exactly the kind of adventure that bonds colleagues. It’s exhilarating, challenging, and encourages healthy competition.

On Scootours, you get to freewheel through the vineyards of Middelvlei Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on Swiss-designed Monster Mountain Scooters on a purpose-built Scootour track, as you take in the view of the mountain ranges. Plus, you can work from the farm and eat a lekker boerebraai lunch.

RACE AROUND ON NON-ELECTRIC GRAVITY SCOOTERS

Scootours’ 45 minute action-packed Flow Trail is an adrenaline rush complete with berms, rollers, and a bush tunnel. It’s a 850-metre long trail (which you speed through twice); you’re allowed a few practice runs to help you get the hang of it.

There’s also a 1.5 hour Scootours mid-week special, for teams who want to prolong the adventure. Both options include a guide, equipment and a complimentary glass of wine.

Plus, you can also do Scootours’ team building experiences on Table Mountain (there’s a midweek special for R550 per person) or in Franschhoek.

MAKE A DAY OF IT WITH A BOEREBRAAI

After mastering the challenges of these trails together, treat your team to braai with all the trimmings at Middelvlei. The resident braai expert prepares chops, boerewors and chicken sosaties, as well as potbrood and braaibroodjies. Plus, there’s sides like Ben's homemade pâté and Ouma Annie's pumpkin fritters.

Make a day of it and book Scootours’ archery session that takes place at Middelvlei farm, where you can also work from for the day. The atmosphere is tranquil and the team can work from the Loft in the restaurant or conference venue in the Wine Barn. Conference packages include a screen, flipchart, data projector, stationary and Wi-Fi connection.

Team-building sessions can be booked for a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 75. All riders must be at least 1.1 metres tall and weigh less than 120kg. You don’t have to be fit and no experience is required (your guide will show you everything you need to know). Remember to wear closed shoes and take a warm jacket.
