Too Big For The Beach: Secrets of Summer NYE Party Goes Large

5fm Secrets of Summer is planning a New Year's Eve party so massive, there isn’t a beach in Cape Town big enough to host it.

There are New Year’s Eve parties, and then there’s the 5fm Secrets of Summer New Year’s Eve party. Year on year this event gets bigger and bigger, so it’s no surprise that this year they’re calling it the biggest one ever.



A BEACH ON THE RIVER
When you can’t find a beach big enough to host your beach party, you find a venue big enough, and take the beach to the venue. That’s what they’re planning to do along the Liesbeek River at the River Club Golf Estate.
How are they bringing the beach there? Well by building a man-made beach oasis – complete with soft beach sand, palm trees, day beds, splash pools, geodesic domes and Lifeguard Towers as DJ booths.

THE FOUR STAGES OF GROOVE
With four themed stages, Secrets of Summer is going large, bringing in the biggest local and international commercial, house and hip hop acts. These include Brazilian act Shapeless and local household names Kyle Watson, Locnville, Pascal & Pearce and 17 more confirmed acts…plus they’re planning to announce more.

THE EARLY BIRD PAYS LESS FOR TICKETS
Early bird entries are at a minimum, so you want to get in fast. Ticket prices range from R420 for general entry to R2000 for Diamond VIP tickets. But, ticket sales work in phases, when each phase of tickets is sold out, the next Early Bird pricing bracket starts. For updated ticket pricing, check the ticket link.
