When one thinks of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, an image of burley bearded men on mean, growling Harleys screaming down the open highway probably comes to mind. That stereotypical image is about to change with the Poppy Day Run and Biker Build-off Competition, hosted by the Cape Town chapter of the global motorcycle club, in honour of Remembrance Day.
Skilled mechanics and builders will put their knowledge to the test when they create unique motorcycles, and then hit the road with them in the Poppy Day Run, on Sunday, 13 November 2016 ending at Fort Wynyard in Green Point. Here, you will be able to meet the teams behind the creations and get to interact with the members of the Hells Angels.
Judges will score the bikes at the finish line, and funds raised on the day will go to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital and The SA Legion (a national organisation that serves the needs of military veterans and their families). Tasty snacks and refreshing drinks will be provided at the event.

ENTRY TO THE 2016 POPPY DAY RUN IN GREEN POINT
Entry to the event costs R50p/p. For more information, email frank@orex.co.za or phone +27 (0)82 859 1600. The run will take off from HAMC Cape Town Club House and depart to Fort Wynard at 9:30am.
