Cape Town Nu World Music Festival
Global acts get set to descend on the Mother City for a melting pot music fiesta at the City Hall
Treat your ears to a veritable feast of sound candy at the rebranded Nu World Music Festival (formerly known as the Cape Town World Music Festival), an annual concertfeaturing performances from artists from all over the globe that is set to take over the Cape Town City Hall on Friday, 17 and Saturday, 18 July 2015.
Backed by the City of Cape Town, the two-day aural fest returns to the Mother City boasting a carefully curated line-up of music from a variety of continents, cultures and genres. This time around, the fiesta aims to showcase far more afrocentric acts so audiences can expect a unique journey that covers everything from roots, electronic and traditional styles to modern, plus all the tunes in between.
Whether you’re a jazz cat, a hipster, a music nerd, a hash tagger or hash smoker, you’re bound to find something that tickles your eardrums and more than likely to discover a new act to obsess over.
