Die Wasserkrise hat sich entspannt. Day Zero wird vorerst abgewendet, das bedeutet, die Wasserhähne werden dieses Jahr nicht abgedreht.
Schwimmbäder sind dicht, Duschen am Strand abmontiert, Auto waschen ist verboten. Wir zittern vor "Day Zero" - dem Tag ohne Wasser.
Ab Februar treten die Wasserrestriktionen Level 6b in Kraft. Nur noch 50 Liter pro Tag pro Person dürfen verbraucht werden, Wer sich nicht daran hält darf mit hohen Strafzuschlägen rechnen.
Wie schlimm ist die Situation in Kapstadt wirklich?
Die Wasserrestriktionen vom Januar 2016 konnten die aktuelle Wasserkrise nicht verhindern. Letztes Jahr wurde diskutiert, ob am 29. und 30. März 2017 die Wasserhähne zugedreht werden. Jetzt heißt es: in 90 Tagen ist das Wasser wirklich alle.
